Yara is the only sibling of Theon who is alive. When Eurongreyjoy who is the uncle of Yara executed his father after that she is the rightful queen.
But the iron fleet makes Euron as their king and therefore theon and yara are forced to leave the island and they took some part of the fleet who are loyal with them. But later their fleet was attacked by Eurongreyjoy and Yara was caught by euron.
Yarahas joined hands with Daenerys Targaryen and theon later frees her sister and was able to take back their Iron Islands and Lady yara Greyjoy was appointed as the Queen of the Iron Islands by Theon Greyjoy.
Why they changed Theon sister name from Asha to Yara in GOT?
This is not the first time that they have changed the name of the characters. The role of theon’s sister is played by Gemma and was first named Asha. But as we all know there are hundreds of characters in the Game of thrones Web Series.
So the names of characters must be unique so that viewers can easily remember it. The previous name Asha was similar to the other character of the show that’s why the makers change her name from Asha to Yara.
