• Mumbai Indians (MI)

It has been a fightback tournament for the Mumbai Indians. At first, it was Ishaan Kishan and Kieran Pollard, who took them so close to victory before suiciding against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a super-over.

He was very fortunate in his match after Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Kieran Pollard, who set a total target against Kings XI Punjab, which Mumbai Indians defended quite easily.

Perhaps the most prominent reason for this year’s early resurgence of Mumbai Indians has been the appearance of Kieran Pollard. For the second consecutive match, Kieran Pollard helped score more than 80 runs in the last five overs and the game changed on both occasions.

However, against Kings XI Punjab, he was given good help by Hardik Pandya, who himself took 30 wickets out of 11.

• Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Contrary to what Sunrisers Hyderabad expected, their victory was purely based on the efforts of the youth. After David Warner, Johnny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson all scored not many runs on the board, the pair of Abhishek Sharma and Priyam Garg brought them back into the match.

Kane Williamson looked in great form, but an unfortunate run-out against Chennai Super Kings robbed him of a chance to spend some time in the middle. While Sharma won by scoring 31 runs off 24 balls, Garg scored a half-century and was then assessed as the player of the match. Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score a total of 164 runs on the board, a total that their bowlers actually scored a lot.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has always been known for its superb bowling attack and the way they have managed to defend in two consecutive matches is why. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khalil Ahmed, and T Natarajan were superb in the powerplay as the Sunrisers took three crucial wickets in the first six overs.

Despite having only four mainstream bowlers at his disposal, David Warner never bothered as he completely routed his bowlers. After a man-of-the-match performance against the Delhi Capitals, R ashid Khan once again proved his mettle as he bounced back with an unbelievable number of 0 for 12 in his four overs. His mantra was a lot more important than the numbers as Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni could not bring singles as well, adding to the pressure on CSK.

MI VS SRH Win and Toss Predictions:

Both sides are coming after them with a resounding win in the upcoming matches and will be full of confidence. As seen in all matches played in Sharjah, the power advantage is not the same as in other places.

Timing the ball well will give him as much return as he needs to hit, which takes advantage of what most power-hitters have during the death overs.

That being said, Sunrisers Hyderabad is likely to be without Bhuvneshwar Kumar and his absence may be a factor here. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are likely to venture with their full power side, one of the most well-balanced sides of the competition.

Comparing the two teams on paper, Mumbai Indians seem to be a better-balanced team between the two, and therefore, have to be favorites in the upcoming encounter.
