It provided a “number” to its creator, Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), which would indicate a “person of interest” who could be a victim or perpetrator of a crime. For each case, the main characters must carefully examine the situation and get to the bottom of the mystery.

Person of Interest Season 6 Canceled?

In the finale of the Interest Series of Interest series, Samarry was ultimately defeated, and John Reese (Jim Caviezel) – one of the show’s two leads – sacrificed himself to save Finch. Finch finally had his happy ending. Also, a twist in the closing minute brought back the machine, in which Shaw (Sarah Shahi) was teased as someone who could follow in Reese’s footsteps.

It was announced that Person of Interest Season 5 would not be its last after the premiere season was announced. And the writer and producer were aware that at the end of season 5 they could be allowed to create a suitable ending to the series – but why did it have to stop there?

Why Season 6 of Person of Interest was canceled?

Person of Interest was undoubtedly a hit for CBS, as it was watched by more than 10 million viewers in its first three seasons. Ratings fell from Season 3 after 8–10 million viewers. Its numbers for season 4 barely proved the series right, so the news of the show’s ending came as a surprise to fans.

Les Moonves, who was then CEO of CBS, has explained what happened to the Person of Interest [via THR]. The series was owned by Warner Bros., and as Moonves has stated, a proprietary show is incredibly important when it comes to profits.

It was said that CBS did not get the benefit of the personal interest of interest, because they would have liked it very well because a great deal of advertising revenue went to Warner Bros. If CBS had 100% ownership of a person, they would have controlled. Revenue and there is a good chance that they would have kept the series for at least one more season, and maybe even now.

What can fans expect from the Plot of Person of Interest Season 6?

If the Person of Interest season 6 happened, the events in season 5 would not have been narrowed into a 13-episode arc, as acknowledged by Schragner Greg Plageman [via IGN]. The story of the fight with Elias (Eriko Colentoni) and Samaras maybe longer, and it is quite possible that much of what happened in Season 5 is reserved for the Season 6 story.

An additional story that could be played in season 6 was related to comments made by Plageman, who talked about the idea that the “backups” of the main characters live in the machine. This was discussed in season 5 by Route 5 (Amy Acker), who believed that death was not the end.

A concept that a character’s “memory” lasts forever is a possibility that they have given a chance. Plageman has said that this could lead to “some fairly light quests” in future seasons.
