What do we know about Primal?
‘Primal’ is Adult Swim’s prehistoric adult animated series, which seems like a colorful vista, sprung to life. The story, without dialogue, uses only graphic imagery and background scores to narrate the story of survival and bloodbath.
Filled with mystery, violence, excitement, emotions, and fear, this masterpiece is about two potential collaborators – a caveman and his dinosaur friend – who navigate a treacherous world. The pair develop a close bond due to their tragic history and band together to fight and survive.
Produced by Jandy Tartakowski, the first season of the Emmy-winning series has garnered high praise for its animation, pacing, and story.
When will Primal Season 2 Release?
‘7 Primal’ season 1 premiered on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim on 7 October 2019. It aired its fifth episode on October 11, 2019. The season returned with its sixth episode on October 4, 2020, and finally wrapped up with its 10th episode on November 1, 2020. In August 2020, when Cartoon Network announced that the show was returning with the second part of season 1, it was also confirmed that ‘Primal’ is greenlighted for the second season! The press release states:
“Spear and Fang continue their journey with a five-new episode of Jandy Tartakovsky’s Primal, premiered on Sunday, October 4. Combining artistry, emotion, and flat-out action, the series added an additional 10 for the second season. Has renewed well. Episode. “The press release additionally confirmed that ‘Primal’ season 2 will be released sometime in 2021.
Which Characters will be included in the Cast of Season 2 of Primal?
Since there is no dialogue in ‘Primal’, we have no voiceover star. The primary two characters are Spear and Fang. Spear is a caveman whose family was killed and eaten by horned theropods. He contemplates suicide but later, decides to survive, facing his loss. The vocal effects of the spear are provided by Aaron Laplante.
On the other hand, Fang is a female Atrocosaurus, whose infants were also killed by the theropods. He eventually develops a bond with Spear over their mutual tragedy. Spear and Fang will clearly be the center of the action in Season 2.

With them, we get to see more prehistoric and imaginary species + different tribes of hominins. Season 1 additionally provides glimpses of Spear’s family in flashbacks – something we hope to see in the next version as well.
What can Fans expect from the Plot of Primal Season 2?
A Primal ‘follows the dangerous journey of a caveman spear (dawn of human evolution) and female dinosaur fangs (on the verge of extinction) as they struggle to survive in a treacherous landscape.

In season 1, we see the two fighting against different animals – a giant Titanoboa, a large woolly mammoth, a Dromaiosaurus, ape-men, a group of witches, a crazy sarpod, and a therizinosaur, among others. Several of Spear and Fang’s quests will continue to be described in season 2 as they encounter many more enemies as they roam the violent, primitive world.
Is there any Official Trailer for Primal Season 2?
There are no updates on the trailer for the upcoming season of the series. But we can soon expect one as the Primal is renewed for a season 2.
