He plays Michael Desiato, a respected judge whose life turns upside down after his son Adam, unintentionally kills the son of a feared crime lord in a hit and run.

Your Honor Episode 1 Plot Details: What happens in the episode?
Adam finds herself in a dangerous part of town around the anniversary of the mother’s departure. Even though he pushes, he realizes he is being chased and begins panicking a bit.
While looking for his inhaler at the glove box, Adam accidentally crashes into a boy riding a bicycle, killing him in the process. Even though Adam initially calls 911, fear grips him, and he renders the scene.
He also throws his phone in the ocean as 911 keeps phoning him incessantly. Michael (Adam’s father) comes home in the courtroom to find his son is a nervous wreck. In the beginning, the father believes that Adam is behaving in this manner since it’s the anniversary of his mother’s passing.
However, the adolescent tells him the entire truth, and Michael conveniences his son. They decide that the best course of action is always to come clean to the cops.

However, inside, the father sees Jimmy Baxter and his wife suspects the loss of the child, Rocco. He realizes the gravity of this situation and walks out of the channel without talking to anybody.
Michael then informs Adam that he has murdered Rocco, the son of Jimmy Baxter, among the most populous mobsters in the city.
The father-son duo then pushes home, and also the former teaches the latter to not reveal what had transpired the afternoon because it’s the only means that he can continue to keep the adolescent safe.
On TV, Jimmy declares he will locate the individual accountable for Rocco’s passing. The father even wipes down the blood in the vehicle. The Baxters see the site of the accident in which Adam’s inhaler is found.
Why did Michael Change his Mind?
Initially, Michael is fairly confident that his connections can provide Adam a more lenient result. This is why he goes to the police station together with his own son.
In the automobile journey, Adam asks when he will make bail, to which the father responds adversely. At this point in the event, Michael is willing to help out his son but not completely clean up his mess.
So what about Jimmy Baxter prompts Michael to cover up the crime and safeguard his son in any way costs? Well, firstly, there is the simple fact that Michael’s connections can’t save Adam from the head of their most barbarous crime family in the city.
The utter resources and manpower that the mobster can employ to discover the identity of the offender are unparalleled. In addition, the whole interrogation with all the racist white cop in Michael’s courtroom only proves that the judicial system is skewed.
Thus, Michael’s paternal instincts kick in, and he does all in his power to conserve Adam. The judge, who is painted as a savior of the underprivileged in the beginning scene, slowly starts losing his ruling and only thinks of protecting his son.
It’s almost as if Michael is confident in his own abilities to conceal the truth, however, he completely dismisses the loose ends from the afternoon, like the SUV that follows Adam before the injury occurs.
Actually, he does not know that one of Jimmy’s men has discovered Adam’s inhaler, which puts the judge’s whole plan in peril.
