Sci-Fi series creator Charlie Brooker revealed in an interview that he was planning a few more seasons of Black Mirror. Thus giving us an indication that Black Mirror Season 6 is on the cards. But has Netflix renewed the series?
Well, Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones who are the original producers of the series formed a new company. We know that Black Mirror is manufactured by Endemol Shine, but the manufacturers left this company and formed another company called Broke & Bones.
Therefore it will be up to Endemol Shine whether to renew the series or not. It is also likely that the rights of Black Mirror will be transferred to the new company. So far nothing is clear and these things seem really time consuming.
Brooker had also revealed that this is not the right time to bring in Black Mirror Season 6, at least this year as the world is already fighting an epidemic. So from this statement, it is clear that Black Mirror Season 6 is experiencing a massive delay due to the current situation.
Although we don’t know if the upcoming season will be renewed by Endemol Shine and Netflix, one thing is for sure that Black Mirror Season 6 is on the cards. And it will be released on Netflix or other streaming platforms.
We can expect Black Mirror season 6 to be released somewhere in late 2021 or early 2022. But these are just fantasies and we need to wait for the makers to announce the official release date.
