His companions double-cross him and run away with defeat but are caught in the ensuing police chase. It is later revealed that Dope had been planning this successor two weeks earlier and had sweet-spoken to get into a janitor’s job.

He also had a copy of the necklace and eventually manages to retain the original. Captain Lugier is assigned a case of missing defeat, aided by a fellow Lupine reader, Yusuf. Yusuf read through the heirs and suspected that the plot to steal the necklace was influenced by Lupine’s story.

His methods are inspired by the stories of Lupine, to whom his father introduced him at the age of 14. Asan has discrepancies in stories about the necklace told during the auction.

End of Lupine Season 1: Assane Diope and Police

On a trip to Raoul’s birthday, Asan takes his son Raoul and Estranged wife Claire. He is being followed by a henchman of Mr. Pelgrini, whom he manages to deactivate after a violent skirmish.

Unfortunately, he manages to escape and catches Asain at gunpoint. Assane texts Captain Laugier and, upon arriving at the station, manages to catch the heifer by making a hoax. He and his family walk to the beach where Raoul goes missing.

Joseph identifies Essen and calls him “Lupine”, where the scene ends. Joseph’s fascination with Lupine leads him to understand the methods and disguise adopted by Asan in his quest to find the truth.

Joseph is ridiculed for his theories, but what the show essentially does is put two opponents in the pit, both well versed with Lupine’s secret. Throughout the show, Asain manages to dodge the police and gets off his radar.

Through flashbacks, it is revealed that Esken specializes in trickery, hands-on surveillance, and disguise. On the other hand, Joseph enters his investigation through the stories of Lupine and sees an association with the ways of Asain.

Effectively, Youssef and Assane are two sides of the same coin, and season 1 ends on a tricky note as both of these characters come face to face.

Why Assane Leave Dumont in Lupin Season 1?

Following clues obtained through his own investigation, Asain realizes that Inspector (now Commissioner) Dumont was involved in blaming his father. Essen systematically kidnaps Dumont, featuring his trademark disguise.

The protagonist questions him about the past, but DuMont remains steadfast in his narrative that his father was indeed guilty. Enraged, Asain reveals his identity to Doomont. Realizing his mistake, Asain probably thinks it might blow up his cover.

He struck a deal with DuMont, stating that he had forgiven her and that there should be no improvement. By forgiving his enemy, Bargaining actually puts the chips on his side. He knows that Dumont is a close associate of Mr. Pellegrini and can help him obtain details that would work in his favor.

Even though he lets Dumont go, Essen keeps him under control by practicing his leverage as a negotiator. Through lies and deception, he manages to get a description of Fabien Barriot, a journalist who might perhaps help him in his search.

DuMont becomes a pawn in Assan’s larger scheme, and by releasing it, he can bear the information when needed.

Does Juliet Pellegrini Know the Truth?

An interesting character in the show is Juliet Pellegrini, the daughter of Hubert Pellegrini. Asane and Juliet have known each other since childhood and have a romantic relationship despite being one-sided.

Flashbacks reveal that Juliet was in love with Essen, but could not develop a relationship. Some scenes also indicate that Juliet is mindful of her father’s temper and shameful actions that she was never a part of.

Even though Juliet is aware that Aiswen is behind the Louvre, she hides this fact from her father. This, perhaps, suggests the fact that Juliet is oblivious to the truth and wants Essen to dig deeper and save her father’s reputation.

It remains to be seen how Juliet’s character unfolds as she has vested interests in the fate of her own family.

Did Assane reunite with his wife in the Lupin Season 1 Ending?

Asan’s relationship turns sour due to her childhood friend and partner, Claire, her methods and her job (which never appeared on the show). Claire is quite sympathetic to Asane but is also careful that she is into something whose knowledge will not be revealed.

There is an underlying feeling that Asain wants to return with his family, but is busy searching for the truth. Even though they go on a trip to celebrate their son’s birthday, things go wrong, which brings Claire back to a suspicious place.

Asanas are yet to discover the truth, and things can improve in personal life after accomplishing their goal.
