The show is expected to be released in the summer. Other Marvel shows coming this year are Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner and Haley Steinfeld) and Ms. Marvel (played by Iman Velani).

It is hardly a surprise that The Falcon and Winter Soldier have done so well in their opening weekend. The series was highly anticipated and well-publicized with breathtaking TV spots and fun cast interviews.

It will be interesting to see how the series performs each week and how it will compare to WandaVision and others after all the episodes have aired. Disney placed bets on the strength of its franchise to pad its streaming service with exceptional content.

The early success of The Falcon and Winter Soldier just outside the gate may be an indication that the scheme may actually work for them. It seems that Disney may one day dominate the small screen as they are working at the box office.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier Full Review:

Former Captain America wingman Sam Wilson, aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie), is the central focus of Marvel’s second TV series on Disney +, which began streaming from Friday.

Bucky Barnes, aka The Captain’s former brother-in-arms, aka The Winter Solider (Sebastian Stein), to join forces with him in the next installment of the expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the film’s series.

Following the critically acclaimed “Vandavision”, this live-action drama is set after the horrific events of “Avengers: Endgame”, but where there are similarities about this story and the Scarlet ending.

The premiere of “The Falcon and the Winter Solider” has more in common with the traditional story of Marvel films than the experimental field of Wanda and Vision.

The high-flying drama kicks off with a heart-pumping action sequence: Falcon on an air rescue mission, where his billions of dollars of wings and fancy flying suits come in handy during a hijacked military operation somewhere near the border of Tunisia.

He mounts on enemy aircraft midflight, flaps inside plummeting planes, deflects bullets midair and outspace missiles, all circling at altitude in a combat scene designed for the big screen.
