Venom 2 Release Date Delayed! Latest Cast & Movie Plot Updates

Venom 2 Release date delayed: Everything you should know!

Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage’s release date has been delayed once again, yet fans won’t have to wait long to see the anti-co-hero in theaters.

Originally slated for release in 2020, COVID-19 Pandemic delayed Sony’s release in 2021, the sequel to the 2018 hit film.

The studio was scheduled to open on June 25, 2021, but due to the delayed arrival of Universal Studios from F9, Sony returned on September 14, 2021, to the 2 nd position.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will see Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) face to face with his most iconic villain, Carnage (Woody Harrelson). The villain, along with Shriek (Nami Harris), will be involved in the massacre, but other than that, little is known about the plot.

Motion-capturing artist, Andy Serkis, is set to handle the project for original film director Reuben Feifer. Venum: Let There Be Carnage is the second film in the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel character.

Variety revealed that Sony has decided to delay Venom: Let There Be Carnage on September 24, 2021. The film has now arrived three weeks after the release of Marvel Studios’ Shang Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will now open with an adaptation of the Sopranos prequel film, The Many Saints of Newark, and the hit musical, Dear Evan Hansen.

It is one of several COVID-19 release dates that change a film to only be delayed by a week. Godzilla vs. Kong was set to premiere on 26 March, but was delayed from five days to 31 March.

More recently, Warner Bros. delayed bringing Mortal Kombat back from a week to April 23. These come as recent delays and more delays begin due to vaccine rollout countries, COVID-19 cases decrease, and cities removing restrictions.

The Godzilla vs. Kong international box-office showed that there was a strong demand for filmmakers to opt out of films, and the first Venom in China grossed $ 269 million, bringing in a worldwide total of $ 856 million.

Sony has been keen to keep its films as theatrical specialties. Sony delayed its entire 2020 slate in 2021 and has been adjusting its schedule since the beginning of the year.

Unlike Disney, Warner Bros., or Paramount which has streaming services to release their popular movies, Sony does not have a streaming outlet. Sony has opted out of the release dates of many of their films.

Morbius, the second film of a classic Spider-Man villain, was moved from March 2021 to October 2021 and delayed in January 2022, just a day after that.

Sony still has Spider-Man: No Way Home on December 17, slated 2021, and Venom Keeping: Let There Be Carnage firmly prior to its release may be an indicator that there may be a connection between the two films.

Which Celebs are going to return for the Cast of Venom 2?

Venom 2 Cast: Who is Venom Let Let Be Be Carnage? It was too much given that Tom Hardy would replace Eddie Brock and his alien ego. They sign multi-film contracts to actors these days, don’t know.

Michelle Williams, who starred as Eddie Brock’s ex-wife Anne Weyings, will also make a comeback. Stephen Graham will also star in the sequel, but his role is yet to be confirmed.

Although most of the stars would return, Sean Delcany voiced his insecurities about his role in the series. He confirmed to the insider that he “got a very, very small eyelid and you will miss this role.”

But we hope we don’t miss him in this sequel. With the recent development due to Spidey being in the Morbius trailer, the series is likely to have more Sony Hero stars. Probably Black Cat, Morbius, Night Watch, or various other arc-nemesis and allies of Spider-Man.

Marvel Studios owner Kevin Feige previously confirmed that crossovers were likely at some point. This means that Spider Man has not yet been crossed from the list of possible artists.

It has been reported that this sequel will not be directed by Fletcher. This sequel comes with many possibilities, but we expect a completely thrilling hit sequel which is a story beyond our imagination.

What to Expect from the plot of Venom 2?

After Riz Ahmed’s Carlton Drake (who eventually became associated with the Sympathy Riot), Uh, exploding inside a spaceship at the end of the first film, Eddie and Venom’s initial nemesis would most likely not happen.

Luckily, Venam’s mid-credit scene was a strong, bankable indicator, which is set to appear as a villain in the sequel.

The scene revealed Woody Harrelson’s character Cletus Cassady. Brock, working as a journalist once again, interviewed Kasadi, a serial killer imprisoned in prison.

It’s scary as hell, but there’s not much to get away from plot-wise other than Kasadi’s promise, “When I get out of here – and I will – there’s going to be a massacre.” This line is an on-the-map reference that confirms Kasadi’s identity.

In the comics, he merges with a symbiosis named Carnage, a type of “child” who once again flips Brooke out of prison. Genocide bonds with Kasadi on a deeper level, developing violent abilities and even not possessing Venom.

It is uncertain how much Carnage and Cassady’s story will be drawn from the source material for Venez 2, but we can be certain that it is going to be bloody and violent as everyone gets out.

Deadline also states that, according to two sources close to the project, comic book villain Shriek has also been included in the plot of Venom 2. A Sony spokesperson declined to comment, stating that the project is still in its early stages.

In the comics, Shriek is a drug dealer named Franks Barrison, whose severe trauma caused his latent mutant powers – including sound explosions, flight, and the ability to provoke dark emotions – to emerge.

Historically, he is a partner and love interest of Carnez, so his involvement in the sequel makes sense. Currently, Naomi Harris (Moonlight) is in talks to play the role.

Is Spider-Man a part of the movie Venom 2?

Tom Hardy recently teased Spider-Man’s appearance in Venom 2 in his Instagram post. However, he later removed the post. There is a chance that Tom Holland may be part of Spider-Man Venom 2.

Seeing that both Venom and Morbius are connected to the MCU, Sony can find a slot to squeeze into the web-slinger.
