Greenleaf Season 5 Review: A Great Family Show!
Greenleaf season 5, especially the episode towards the end, was the best series of the series so far. Given its previous plot arcs, many were afraid of the Greenleaf finale to jump into some enjoyable future or take out an out-of-place twist.
But as noted above, the series has retraced its very footsteps — this season was more about remembering Bishop, (Keith David), shutting down and providing peace, and hoping that everyone in the world Can find its place.
It was a worthy, beautiful ending to the series, effectively trumping any shortcomings, and triggering the love we always reserved for our characters.
Not to miss Greenleaf and its associated characters is a hard pill to swallow, at least when it still feels like she had more stories to tell.
But all we can do is bid it farewell and dodge quietly in the memory of the first time we sat down to watch how a church drama would never be seductive enough and how boring it was to root out its characters. Will happen. Suppose someone was very wrong.
