Is Berserk Season 3 Renewed or Canceled?
The 2016 anime adaptation received heavy criticism due to its animation style. Nevertheless, it managed to garner a massive fan following from all over the world. Apart from this, it also made a considerable profit for its producers.
Also, both seasons of the show helped increase sales of its source material. Thus, given its popularity, the studio may not be canceling the series anytime soon.
On the other hand, the makers of the anime have already confirmed its return. In 2017, the season 2 finale of the series ended with the message “The Story Continues”.
Therefore, it seems that the anime producer Leiden Films has already decided to continue the anime for a few more seasons. Still, they haven’t announced an official renewal of Berserk Season 3.
Anime makers GEMBA and Millepensee are also silent on the subject. However, the message at the end of the second season also serves as a confirmation.
When will Berserk Season 3 Release?
The production house associated with the series has not yet disclosed anything regarding the renewal of the series. However, Season 2 ends with a “to be continued” note.
So, we are expecting season 3 to come but not soon. If the production house starts its production this year, it will reach somewhere in 2022 or it can also be postponed to 2023.

Berserk Season 3 Plot: Is there enough source material?
The Berserk manga series has been running for over 30 years now. In its long run, as of mid-2020, the manga has been published for forty volumes.
Well, the anime adaptations only covered half of the available source material. The 2012 film series continued the plot of the 1997 anime series and covered the Golden Age arc.
Whereas, the 2016 adaptation was a sequel to the 2012 anime films, although it omitted the Lost Children arc. The second season of 2017 which featured the Falcon of the Millennium Empire story ended with Chapter 301 of Volume 25.
In total, the upcoming season of the anime could adapt fifteen volumes, including many skipped chapters from previous versions. Therefore, there is more than enough source material for Fearless Season 3 and more seasons in the future.
The new episodes will likely include the remaining 57 chapters of the Falcon of the Millennium Empire story. The third installment could also start the Fantasia arc.

Fearless Season 3 Spoilers
While anime viewers either loved Berserk 2017/2017 or lamented the CG animation, it could be argued that GEMBA chose a great stopping point in the Falcon of the Millennium Empire story arc.
Guts and his party were staying at the canteen in search of any ship that prepared to take them to Skilling, the island home of Puck, where Elfelm is located.
They hope to be able to cure Casca of his dementia because the island exists between planes and is home to wise elves and wizards. The quest to find a ship so simple goes quickly as Farnese turns to her family, the House of Vendimian, for help.
Farnese’s father, Federico de Vendimian III, initially declined her request for a ship because it was claimed that he tarnished the family name by his actions. They will accept her request only if she marries her brother’s childhood friend, Roderick of Ys.
