What to Expect from the Plot of Kamisama Kiss Season 3?
The story of the anime follows the character of Nanami who leads a very difficult life, mainly due to his incompetent and gambling father. One day, Nanami and his father are kicked out of the house because his father has failed to pay the rent after losing all his money in gambling.
The borrowers start chasing him. Nanami, not knowing what to do or how to defend herself, temporarily hides and eventually ends up on the streets. One day, she sees a man being chased by a dog, and she helps him.
Later during the show, Nanami learns that the man’s name is Mikage and that he is a local earth god. When the man learns of Nanami’s story, he transfers all his divine powers to Nanami and is now forced to balance his divine life with regular life.

The ‘Kamisama Kiss’ manga series consists of 25 volumes in total. The anime’s first 2 seasons and 4 OVA episodes cover the first 17 manga volumes. Therefore, the new anime installment still has about 8 volumes to adapt.
