Season 1 of Jack Ryan followed the titular character, a terrorist known as Silliman, as a villain who was supposed to be the next Bin Laden.

Although Ryan managed to stop him, it was due to covert tactics and it is clear that the Shadow Recruit was becoming more involved in the darker side of Special Ops than he initially wanted to be.
In the end, Ryan is promoted to head of T-Fed and his associate Agent Greer, sorry, Officer Greer, was transferred to Russia.
Jack Ryan Season 2 Ending: What happens with Jack & Cathy?
In most of Clancy’s Jack Ryan books, not to mention the uneven film adaptations of the property over the years, the character’s origins as a young CIA analyst always coincided with a much older, desk-ridden version of Greer.
With the first season of Jack Ryan, however, this interpretation of The Wire’s piers began a while back. Michel Chapin (Michael O’Neill), whose involvement with Reyes’ administration and the discovery of a giant tantalum deposit led to the assassination of Sen for Jack Ryan,
To expose Senator Chapin’s involvement in the Venezuelan plot. His own career is now questionable. Ryan had turned down Greer’s offer to join Moscow to work for Senator Moreno, his old friend on Capitol Hill, but that career trajectory is now in ruins.
However, Ryan still works for the CIA, and November indicated that Jack’s attempted assassination of President Reyes may be swept under the rug.
Still, Jack Ryan’s confidence in his country was shaken by uncovering Chapin’s plan and losing Moreno to him. Season 2 ends tragically for Ryan as his Venezuelan adventure has cost him both personally and professionally.
What Jack Ryan will do next is anyone’s guess. Jack returns to Washington, saying that although he found Reyes, he thinks he missed something.
When the Reyes shell company Cinco Palmas was investigated, they found that he owned only half of the company and the other half was owned by a US affiliate. Ryan reveals he’s got everything back on track to Senator Chapin.

Chapin intentionally funded Venezuela because of the fear of China overtaking the US if China had less competition. Thus he has been providing them to form his government and give America an ally if things come up.
Chapin says that if he sweeps this rug down that Ryan will be able to run for Congress, but Ryan rejects this and moves away from it into a future where there is a less corrupt spirit in the government and in the country. There is one more good which is desperately needed.
Cathy was the love interest of Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) in the first season, just as she was in the Tom Clancy novels. In the books, in fact, Cathy and Jack get married and have kids,
