Blood Blockade Battlefront (Japanese: Hepburn: Kekei Sensen, lit., “Bloodline Battlefront”) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Naito.
It revolves around a young photographer named Leonardo Watch, who receives ‘The All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods’ at the cost of his sister’s eyesight. Naito first published a one-shot chapter in Shueisha’s shnen manga magazine Jump Square in May 2008.

A 3-chapter series, with the subtitle Mafogai Kesha, was published in the same magazine from January to March 2009.
Blood Blocked Battlefront was serialized in Jump SQ.19 from May 2010 to February 2015, when the magazine ceased publication. Shueisha compiled his chapters into ten tankbon volumes.
“Kekkai Sensen” Season 3 Summary: What the Anime is all about?
Over New York City a rift has opened between Earth and the Netherworld, with New Yorkers and creatures from other dimensions trapped in an impenetrable bubble. They’ve been living together for years in a world of crazy crime sci-fi sensations.
Now someone is threatening to break the bubble, and a group of stylish superhumans is working to stop that from happening. Known more by some fans as Blood Blockade Battlefront, Kekei Sensen is a Japanese manga series originally written by Yasuhiro Naito.
The first part of the manga is serialized by Shueisha in Jump SQ19 from 2009 to 2015, marking the end of the first part. There is a total of 10 sections in this part in which there are 33 chapters.
A sequel manga titled ‘Blood Blockade Battlefront: Back to Back’ by the same author and publisher has been released in 2015 after the end of the first manga.
So far, Jump SQ Crowns has up to 5 volumes released until 2018 when serialization work is transferred to Jump SQ Rise, which is currently updating the manga at bi-monthly intervals.

The Kekkai Sensen manga series consists of 10 volumes. The 12-episode first installment of Blood Blockade Battlefront adapted 12 chapters up to Volume 6 of the manga.
The remaining versions were eventually used in the second season. Therefore, the studio has finished the original manga. Fortunately, despite this, there’s still enough source material left to make for another season of the anime.
Back in 2015, a direct sequel to the original manga debuted. It is titled Blood Blocked Battlefront or Kekei Sensation: Back 2 Back. The sequel manga is still ongoing and has a total of seven volumes. The latest one was released back in December 2019.

A gateway opened nearly three years ago in New York City. The Gateway connects New York City to Beyond. ‘Beyond’ is said to be another dimension where evil and demonic creatures reside.
This gateway allowed monsters, vampires, supersonic monkeys and extraditions into New York City. The town came to be known as Helselm’s Lot. Hellslem’s lot becomes a bubble that can never be entered.
Therefore, humans, demons, and other creatures are forced to live together in Hellslem’s Lot’s bubble. This strange and dangerous lifestyle has become a daily routine for the residents or we can say, many prisoners of Helselm.
Here enters Libra, a secret organization that looks after Helselm’s lot. Libra members also work in and outside of Helselm’s lot.

Kekkai Sensen Season 2 Finale Ending Explained!
White opens his eyes and looks at Black and then Leonardo. Leonardo tells her that he knows what it is and that Black wants to live and that if she is afraid of the lights, he will hold her will and lead her as many times as she needs.
Leonardo then beheads the King of Despair and uses his power, sharing his vision and prompting him to see White. Moments later Black regains consciousness and tells White that one day the world will collapse, so why not now, but White tells him not to lie.
Black cries and says that he is scared and that for him a world without him is not a world at all, but White tells him that without him the world will continue and he must live.
Black hugs him and tells him that he doesn’t have enough strength left to recover and stabilize him, so he will use the strength left in his body to re-establish a new barrier. As soon as he does, White disappears.
