Better Call Saul Season 5 Ending Explained: Is Kim & Saul Together?
The more action-packed half of the Better Call Saul Season 5 finale takes place in Mexico, where Nacho Varga is enlisted to help execute Lalo Salamanca in his own home.
Varga spends most of the episode pretending that he wants to join the Salamanca Cartel. Lalo seems quite eager to take the young New Mexican under his wing. He even introduces her to the big chef, who eventually approves the new recruit.

Varga’s face is as insensitive as ever throughout this build: either having some serious second thoughts about getting Lalo out, or on the verge of breaking out of pressure.
After Lalo’s unwanted intrusion into their lives, Jimmy and Kim act smart and escape to a hotel for almost the entirety of this final episode. Besides Kim working to tie up some loose ends,
The pair spend their time living in relative luxury. As she does so, Jimmy heads to Mike’s (Jonathan Banks) house, where he learns that tonight is a night for Gus’ (Giancarlo Esposito) planned Lalo’s murder.
He meets with Kim back at the hotel, where he tells her they don’t have to worry about Lalo anymore, and then they start talking about Howard.
She makes some surprising suggestions – that they frame Howard so that the sandpiper lawsuit can be settled, with Jimmy netting nearly $2 million of the Common Fund.
This means that Jimmy and Kim arc the least kinetic of everything that happens during this finale, but it certainly isn’t without some fireworks.
In fact, the plan could be the most consequential part of the episode and series’ future if Jimmy and Kim are left to their own devices.

Better Call Saul Season 6 Release date: How many episodes will there be?
In February 2021, AMC confirmed that the sixth season was likely to premiere in the first quarter of 2022. Better Call Saul Season 6 will consist of 13 episodes, more than any other season of the show to date, but the story will come to an end after that.
Writing continues remotely due to the COVID-19 shutdown, but it remains to be seen when production can continue. There was a year and a half between Season 4 and Season 5, and it could be as long, if not as long, between Season 5 and Season 6.
