Don’t Breathe 2 Recap
The main story of Don’t Breathe 2 takes place approximately eight years after the events of the first film. The Blind Man, real name Norman Nordstrom, has fully recovered from his near-fatal encounter with Rocky and his friends.
Nordstrom is still living in Detroit and raising a daughter named Phoenix (Madeleine Grace), who is mostly kept inside and believes Norman to be her father and her mother’s house fire. Died by being hit.
Phoenix and Norman’s solitary lives are put at risk after agreeing to move to the city with a friend. This is where a group of creepy men set their eyes on Phoenix and plan to take him from The Blind Man.
Don’t Breathe 2 Ending Explained: What happens with Norman & Phoenix?
Norman and Phoenix’s only contact with the outside world is through Norman’s friend, former Army Ranger Hernandez (Stephanie Arcilla). Hernandez brings them supplies from time to time.
One day, Hernandez convinces Norman to let Phoenix go to town with him, so Phoenix can have some time out of the house as well. While in town, Hernandez stops at a petrol station to refuel.
Once the mostly-nameless, mostly-useless supporting villains were dispatched by Norman, he rose to the boss level of the film. Now on Ryan’s turf (in what could be described as a “long-abandoned YMCA” stretch),
Norman must make his way to an extremely unclean location where a rogue surgeon (Stephen Rodri) tries to move the heart. Making plans – while Phoenix is still awake, no less.
Thankfully, Ryan’s right hand Raul (Christian Zagia) decides he has had enough after pretending Norman is unconscious, then uses the trick to crush Raoul’s men in a blaze of gunfire. Raul tells Norman where everyone is, then hands over the whole situation.

Don’t Breathe 2 Review!
It certainly seems like the Don’t Breathe universe has come to a close, with Norman, our main character of interest, dead as a doornail, and Phoenix, our emotional center, having gone through the transformation he needed.
But after the credits roll, we go back to that old swimming pool. We land on the immobile, hard fingers of Norman’s corpse. And we see that Ryan’s dog, another child figure Norman stole from him, reaches up to Norman’s body and sniffs his fingers.
Is the dog sniffing him because he is still alive? Is this just one final, comforting reassurance that this adorable little ‘pooch’ didn’t meet a terrible fate? Or, if you look closely enough… can you see Norman’s fingers moving so slightly?
