The Crown Season 4 Recap: What happens in the show?
The Charles and Diana drama of The Crown Season 4 culminated with Diana’s solo trip to New York City in 1989 and the Windsor family Christmas at Balmoral in 1990. In episode 9, “Avalanche”, Charles is interrupted in his attempt to make a speech, explaining to the Queen.
And why did Prince Philip want to end their marriage when Diana said she was willing to do anything to keep the marriage going – which is what Queen Elizabeth needs and wants to hear.
Instead of matching Diana’s attempt, Charles knocks her out, and The Crown subtly implies that this may have been a tactic on the part of the Prince, knowing that Diana would be alone and eventually betray him,
That’s when he resumed his relationship with her. Major James Hewitt and Charles were immediately informed by their security officers.
The Crown Season 4 Ending: What happens with Prince & Diana?
Crown Season 4 ends with a picture. The family is happy laughing together when they are ready. Diana arrives and stays on the outskirts of the photo, making it clear that she is an outsider and always will be.
At the end of the season, it’s the early ’90s, and Princess Diana and Prince Charles have two kids, Prince William and Prince Harry. But the two have affairs and Prince Charles is determined to part ways.
As part of her journey, Diana visits a hospital where adolescent HIV/AIDS patients are being treated. After a doctor explains to her that the toughest battle they are facing is the stigma of having basic direct contact with people living with HIV/AIDS,
Diana bows down and tells one of the hospitalized children. Embrace her as the press cameras shine all around her and she continues her ascent to become the people’s princess.
The Crown Season 4 Review: Must Watch!
It is impossible not to know the story of Diana, Charles, and Camilla; Princess Di’s rapid ascent into pop culture royalty, and her decisive public exit from the royal family following her controversial divorce from Charles.
Still, watching it play out in Season 4 of The Crown in concert with the dark Margaret Thatcher years and a generational shift in power between the Windsors is full of drama from start to finish and never short on mystery, at least less for me.

In season four, the show’s resemblance to The Godfather is clearer than ever. The royals have more in common with the crime family than they probably want to believe, but at least Corleone cared for each other.
Diana, like Kay Adams, was torn from her life as an outsider and forced to bow to family methods. But will you believe it, she protests?
