Things start to get difficult for Elle, though she has to balance the bucket list with a summer job, taking care of her brother, and spending time with Noah.

Instead of going to Harvard to be with Noah or to Berkeley to be with Lee, Elle applies for a spring term program in video game design at the University of Southern California. Who knew Elle was so interested in video game design? Not me!
Lee and Elle put on makeup before Lee leaves for college, but Noah and Elle leave things in a strange place. “I’m sorry that things didn’t work out between us,” Noah says.
And it turns out he made the right call because Marco still has a chip in his shoulder, thinking that hot-headed Noah isn’t right for Elle.
Sadly, Noah’s receiving Elle’s acceptance letter to Berkeley causes trouble in heaven because he doesn’t want Elle to stay with him at Harvard. This causes Noah to break things down, not wanting Elle to regret turning her life around to accommodate him.

However, there’s still hope for #Nelle fans – the pair bumped into each other six years later at their high school’s charity fair and the chemistry between them is definitely still there.
While there is no confirmation as to whether they ended up together, we see them together in the sunset while riding a motorcycle and it is quite possible that Noah accepted a job in L.A. to be with Elle.
