The White Lotus Season 1 Review!
Much of the story of the series ended in some way – not all happy. In the end, there were some surprises and twists associated with that death that we learned about in Episode 1.
The series has been renewed for a second season, which will take place at a different resort with a different cast. Mike White created the series and directed every episode of Season 1.
Quinn’s ending offers the slightest glimmer of hope. The closing shot’s parting message isn’t quite as simple as “kids are our future” or paddling away from the hotel’s underlying problems.

It’s also notable that as the resort vacation draws to a close, only two characters from writer-director Mike White are changed for the better. One is Quinn and the other is Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), whose dealings with Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) turn out to be one-sided.
Many have commented on Alexandra Daddario’s stellar performance in The White Lotus, but I’m awarding the showstopping, scene-stealing award to Jennifer Coolidge as the damaged and needy Tanya.
