While Jack and Mel have had a rocky relationship, they always work out in the end. After their brief breakup, Jack swore he was forever committed to her – and even tried to prove it with a proposal.

But Mel stops her between the knees and reveals a major truth: She’s pregnant. And it’s made even bigger by the fact that when Mel announced she wanted a baby and a custody battle over them. preparing himself for it.

Mel must have assumed that Jack didn’t want to be involved, just going full speed with IVF. So, let’s match it for Jack: twins on the way, a massive custody battle in the wings, a pregnant girlfriend (fiancé?) who can’t have a baby.

There are a lot of dramas that go on-screen in Season 3, but due to COVID-19, the drama was off-screen as well. While most of the show’s cast was able to return, Annette O’Toole, who plays Hope McCurry,

The city’s mayor and wife of Doc Mullins, was unable to be in Vancouver, British Columbia for filming. The result is that Hope is told to go to an elderly aunt in South Carolina when a tornado knocks out lightning and captures her there.

The character appears several times via FaceTime, but when Hope’s best friend, Lily (Linda Boyd), dies of pancreatic cancer in the second half of the season, she books the first flight home.

As Joe Allen is chatting with this furry newcomer, we learn that he’s from Seattle, and he also reveals that he’s in town to see his grandfather.

When Joe Allen says she knows pretty much everyone in the Virgin River and asks for that grandfather’s name, he announces, “Dr. Vernon Mullins,” who leaves our fair Joe Ellen with his mouth open. gives.

I already have a theory about how the Doctor ended up with a grandson he (more than likely) knows nothing about, who will now be a member of the Virgin River cast.

Virgin River Season 3 Review

Several episodes here end on a shocking cliffhanger, only for the next chapter to solve said drama in 10 minutes or less. A time or two would be forgivable, but there are moments within a single episode that use this hook.

The result is a fanciful mess that adds more drama to terrifying effect than is superficially necessary. What’s especially disappointing here is how much potential this third season has.

The idea of Jack suffering from PTSD and slowly uncovering what happened at the bar is really tempting. And on the same subject, this plotline hasn’t even been resolved this season.

Instead, the series pushes the backburner until late. Similarly, the situation with the Doc for the fourth season is also not completely resolved.
