Bridgerton Season 1 Summary
Set in 1813, Bridgerton’s plot focuses on Britain’s high society (aka “The Ton”) who gather in London for a social season. At the center are Bridgerton and their aspiring neighbor, Featherington.
Struggling to find a husband despite the support of Queen Charlotte (Golda Rochevel), eldest Bridgerton daughter Daphne (Phoebe Danever) befriends her oldest brother, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), Simon, the newly inherited Duke of Hastings. Reggae-Jean Page).

It’s an understandable pain point, but Simon is eventually convinced to turn his back on it, largely through Daphne’s gentle pressure that her vow is punishing a dead man and himself.

However, it looks like his fortunes are about to change after Lord Featherington wins a sum in a rigged boxing match, but is then murdered by the people he scammed.
Lady Featherington wept at the news of her husband’s death. Meanwhile, poor Penelope – who has lost her father – learns Colin Bridgerton, whom she loves, is traveling abroad.
