Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 Ending Explained: What happens with Elma and Friends?
The second season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid has come to its finale. The season finale is mostly quiet, taking its time to reflect on how all of the show’s characters have evolved over the course of the series, most of whom are Tohru and Kobayashi’s central couple.
Of course, being Dragon Maid, things can’t stay in contemplative mode forever – the episode ends with energy as Tohru and Kobayashi’s relationship reaches a new stage of intensity.
Almost everyone is present in the summer festival. Kobayashi, Illulu, Kanna and Elma are walking around. Elma’s focus is on trying all kinds of food. The group splits up—Kanna goes to Saikawa, Illulu moves to Take.
Lukoa and Shota meet Kobayashi and Elma. The dragons start talking about the festivals in their world, knocking Kobayashi out of the conversation.
Saikawa tells Kanna that they should go to the festival again the next year and every year until they become grandmothers. Kanna tells him to live a long life. Illulu and Tek are at a stall with a shooting game.

Keep in mind that the ilulu is mature and childlike most of the time. She shares that she was told she has to act like an adult, but Kobayashi tells her it’s okay to be a kid again. The other characters didn’t do much more than just be themselves throughout the episode.
Their conversations were so sweet, and I can never get enough of them, just for a moment. Overall, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 Episode 12 was the end of a season in which the characters were heavily separated from the main group.
Thus the episode had to somehow tie the arcs, which it did. It was the “loveliest of life” episode in this very slice-of-life season.
