Squid Games is Inspired by which novel?

According to Korean pop-culture site Sompy, Squid Game director Hwang Dong Hyuk said that he got the idea for the show in 2008 while playing an extreme game from a comic book. But he did not name the comic.

And it may not be a single comic, as the director told the Korea Herald that he “read a lot of comics, and was fascinated by survival games.”

So until Hwang comes out and names some of his reading material, we only have a guess. Looks like the squid game will now switch to book form, because it’s such a hit. Keep an eye on those bookstore shelves.

When will Squid Games Season 2 be Release?

Netflix hasn’t given any indication about whether it will be renewing its most popular K-drama of all time, but it’s only been 10 days since the premiere. Streamers usually use their U.S.

Shows wait a few months to renew, and little is known about their international renewal to see a pattern. That said, Squid won’t be the first Korean show to receive a renewal from the game streaming giant.
