Ant-Man 2 Ending Explained: What is the meaning of mid Credit Scenes?
Playing with the family theme, the film ends on a positive note. Scott Lang has completed his house arrest sentence and can spend more time with Cassie and his relationship with his ex-wife and partner (Bobby Cannavale) is happy and healthy.
Janet has been rescued and is now part of the main Ant-Man and Wasp family, working alongside Hank, Hope and Scott. And Bill Foster, who has been trying to save Ava’s life this entire time,
Is working with them – and with Ava – to continue exploring the quantum realm and its energy that Ava needs to survive. . Everyone is fine, their problems are resolved, and they are all part of the same team.
And then the mid-credits scene happens and we learn that Janet, Hank, and Hope have been wiped out when Thanos snaps his fingers with the Infinity Gauntlet at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, revealing that the leak is in Avengers.
After the credits roll we see Hank, Janet, Hope, and Scott gather on a San Francisco rooftop. Scott is being sent to the Quantum Realm to bring “healing particles” to Ghost (more on that later), while the others are left behind to monitor and kick him out once more.
Unfortunately for them, the fatal snap of Thanos’ fingers occurs just before Scott is taken out, and Hank, Janet, and Hope all vaporize. Scott will probably be rescued from the Quantum Realm in Avengers 4, but it’s definitely a downright epilogue.
When it was first announced that the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man would be centered around Scott Lang instead of Hank Pym, some fans were skeptical.

So when it comes time for someone to head into the quantum realm to save Janet, it’s none other than Hank who answers the call, suiting up in a sort of suit that will save him from the unknown.
It’s unclear, but seeing Michael Douglas in a suit, helmet off, is a bit of a buzzword for fans of the original Ant-Man.
Sure, we’ve seen the original Ant-Man/Wasp pairing in flashbacks, but really we just want to see Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer take on some current villains together.
