Dune Ending: Everything you should know!

Dune (onscreen title as Dune: Part One) is a 2021 American epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, with a screenplay by Jon Spahts, Villeneuve, and Eric Roth.

It is the first of a planned two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert, primarily covering the first half of the book, and the second film adaptation of the novel after David Lynch’s 1984 film.

Dune Ending Explained: What happens with Paul?

At the end of the 2021 film, Leto is left behind, and you’re in luck if you’ve ever wanted to see Oscar Isaac naked and hard as aboard. Leto is paralyzed because of the betrayal of Dr. Yuh, Paul’s teacher, played by Chang Chen.

Yuh’s reward is to be assassinated by Wayne Baron Harkonnen, implying that he does not survive to take advantage of the poison gas capsule Leto, the traitor slammed into his teeth.

Leto’s blazing breath eliminates Harkkonen’s mentor Pieter de Vries, played by The Suicide Squad’s David Dustmalchian, but the fiendish Baron uses his shield and zooms up to the ceiling.

Bathed in sticky black oil, the Baron, played by Stellan Skarsgard, lives to plot his next move.
Stilgar has previously met Paul and Oscar Isaac’s Duke Leto Atreides, this doesn’t buy them any goodwill,

And the Freemen are immediately in attack mode, ready to kill off-worlders to drain their bodies of hydration. . Paul and Jessica fight Stilgar and Jamis, another warrior, and manage to overtake them,

And then things get really interesting: because Stilgar, the head of the group, was defeated, Jamis takes a fight. Called the rule that challenges them to leadership. fight to the death.

So for those who like this arrogant movie ending mid-sentence, well, that’s not too far from the truth. Nevertheless, it stops at a turning point in Paul’s awareness of his place in the universe.

Before the film’s conclusion, he was unsure about how to interpret and accept his “dream” or point of view, whatever it might be. After the film ends, there is no doubt that he is on a death-drenching path, as confirmed by the vision he endures after taking the life of Jamis.

At that moment, he sees a future version of him with a sword stained with blood. He accepts this and still wets the sand with the moisture of Jamis, and then declares that “my road leads to the desert.”

So while this isn’t much of a resolution to a story in which Paul learns that his father has been murdered, and his birthright stolen by the dreaded House Harkonen, it remains to be seen in the book for now.

There is a useful moment to close. Paul and his mother Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) have survived the loss of their power and wealth, and the second film will be based on what a life in the desert would do to mother and son as well as a younger brother.

Recall that Paul correctly realized that his mother was pregnant. This is the same group Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa) and Litt Keynes (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) met and were previously killed by Sardoukar in the film.

Their leader is Stillgar (Javier Bardem). Paul meets Stillgar early in the film when Duncan introduces Paul’s father, Duke Leto (Oscar Isaac), and the Freemen leader to the House Atreides Council.

Even though Stilger and Paul have met before, the encounter didn’t go well. Jamis (Babs Olusunmokun) and Stillgar’s fellow freemen aren’t very welcoming to Paul and Lady Jessica. Jamis tells Stillgar to get rid of the Atreides and take the water preserved in his stillsuit.

As tensions between Paul and the Freemen grow, Stillgar decides to leave Paul’s life but cannot find a reason to leave his mother. Of course, this is not an acceptable arrangement for the Atreides, and that’s when the battle begins.

After Paul’s fight with Jameis, a group of freemen are leading him and his mother further into the desert. They are headed to Siech Tabar, one of the largest Freeman strongholds in the inhospitable desert and where most of Dune 2’s story will take place.

The inhospitable conditions of the desert make the environment dangerous for those who are not familiar with it. Living in Siech will not only protect Paul and Lady Jessica from sandworms, but it will also protect them from any enemies, including House Harkonnen.
