Narcos Mexico Season 2 Ending Explained: What happens with Felix?

The second season of Narcos: Mexico hit Netflix Friday morning, and if you’re anything like me, you quickly swallowed it through binge-watching. It was another entertaining season of television from the Narcos team – one that leaves no doubt that the series will return.

Season 2 ran along two parallel tracks. It follows the ambitious Miguel ngel Felix Gallardo (Diego Luna) as he unites the various cartels, and it follows Scooter McNairy’s DEA, led by Walt Breslin, as they aim for the death of Kiki Camarena (Michael Pea). Have to take revenge.

The season ends with a bang, albeit a quiet one. There is no massive gunfight or car bombing. It boils down to a jailhouse showdown between Felix and Walt, who eventually come face-to-face.

The scene is absolutely intriguing, just two extraordinary actors sitting opposite each other, talking. Does this sound familiar?

In one of the most brutal moments of the final episode, Gallardo also orders the murder of Guadalupe (Viviana Serna), the wife of Hector Palma (Gorca Lassosa). He sends Enrique Clavel (Andrés Londono), who has an affair with him, to return her and her children safely.

Clavelay escorted the family to a remote bridge where he shot and killed Guadalupe and his children. When Gallardo’s wife Maria spoke to him about the sad news, she ordered him to leave.

The murder of Palma’s family, along with the suspicion that Felix himself was responsible for that raid – is the breaking point for Felix’s massive Guadalajara cartel.

One by one, their plaza owners—Benjamin Arellano Felix from Tijuana, Chapo from Sinaloa, Amado and Aguilar from Juárez—even their loyal dog Azul, left the Felix Federation, telling them that they had joined the Cali Cartel.
