One of Us is Lying Ending Explained: What the Application is all about?

During Addy and Janae’s conversation, Jake walks to her house, and Addy hides while recording their conversation. Suddenly, Eddie’s phone rings, prompting him to run into the woods. But Jake doesn’t let Eddie go so easily and he starts chasing him.

Eddie collapses and Jake begins to strangle him until Cooper walks in and drags him away. After Nate’s name was officially approved, he was released from prison.

At this time, it has not been confirmed that the series will follow the same storyline as the book, but we are sure that Peacock Show will keep the audience on their toes.

Simon actually commits suicide but he hatches a plan and involves Jake who wants to frame Eddie. So, “the one” whose title foreshadows it can be interpreted as Jake.

This is revealed in the novel, so it’s worth noting that there’s always the potential for screenwriter Erica Saleh to change the ending and ultimately the identity of the killer.

However, there is little chance that such an important detail and biggest narrative revelation will be changed. With full spoilers for the book, let’s dive into the specifics of the ending.

Entering the world of Bayview High, we are introduced to five students – Simon (played on the show by Mark McKenna), Bronwyn (Marianelli Tejada), Nate (Cooper Van Grutel), Eddie (Annalissa Cochran), and Cooper ( Chibuikem Uche) ) – in captivity.

Simon dies and the other four students are established as suspects. Motive? Simon started a gossip group with Jayne (Jessica McLeod) on social media where sensitive information about those at the school was leaked.

Considering the number of alerts that are heard across the school whenever an announcement is made about that, the app is very popular, and most students have.

In fact, we see a brief scene in which a student receives an update from the Gossip app on his watch while working out. So, the About That app will continue to send out announcements and is currently the biggest clue to finding Simon’s killer.
