The Starling Ending: Everything you should know!
The Starling is a 2021 American drama film directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Matt Harris. It starred Melissa McCarthy, Chris O’Dowd, Timothy Olyphant, Daveed Diggs, Skyler Gisondo, Ravi Kapoor, Laura Harrier, Rosalind Chao, Loretta Devine and Kevin Kline.
It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2021, and had a limited release on September 17, 2021, before streaming on Netflix on September 24, 2021. It received unfavorable reviews from critics.

It doesn’t help that Melfi directs “The Starling” with all the grace of an investor presentation for the Hallmark greeting card company. It is a visually flat film which adds to the sense that the main creative drive here was to make the audience cry.
Most of us are open to our feelings when we watch movies, but they have to be earned through character, depth, and realism. We can feel it when tears are not earned with honesty.
“The Starling” has pretty clearly weighed in on how much he wants your tears to take a truly emotional flight. These two professions merge into one, as Larry takes an interest in Lilly’s starling and in Lilly personally when they become friends.
The Starling is so staggeringly weird and bad in fact that it has almost some value as a kind of Dadaist phenomenon, a synthesis of non-sense, a randomly generated heart-warming film that results from an experimental printer.
Exited from a computer program. Director Theodore Melfi once gave us a very cool movie, Hidden Figures, about unsuspecting women of color who were involved in America’s space program. It was an emotional film whose emotions were understandable.

On the other hand, it is a waste of everyone’s time. The crew is also full of underused veterans. Cinematographer Lawrence Sher, whose resume spans from “Garden State” to “Godzilla” to “Joker,” finds his work essential to the film’s deeply traditional tone.
He frames each scene exactly in a way that suits the overall structural artwork, but doesn’t magnify it. Music supervisor Julia Michels commissioned new songs by Brandi Carlyle and The Luminaires, but the soundtrack is used in a way that consistently sounds literal.
Benjamin Wallfisk’s rigorous score shares this approach, reminding us that we are watching a woman fighting a bird, or saving a bird, or being inspired by a bird.
