The film is set in the mid-22nd century, when humans are colonizing the lush habitable moon Pandora, a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system, to mine the valuable mineral vinobathenium.

The film’s title refers to a genetically engineered Navi body powered by the brain of a distant human that is used to interact with Pandora’s natives.
Avatar Summary: What the movie is all about?
The story, set in the year 2154, involves a mission by the US armed forces to an Earth-sized moon in orbit around a massive star. This New World, Pandora, is a rich source of a mineral that Earth desperately needs.

Pandora does not represent even a remote threat to Earth, but we nonetheless send ex-military mercenaries to attack and conquer them. Gung-ho warriors employ machine guns and pilot armored hover ships to carry out bombing operations.
You are free to find it a metaphor about contemporary politics. Cameron clearly does. Pandora contains a planetary forest, inhabited peacefully by the Navi, a race of blue-skinned, slender giants with golden eyes, each perhaps 12 feet tall.
The atmosphere is not breathable by humans, and the landscape makes us pygmy. To exit our landing craft, we use avatars – Na’vi lookalikes arranged and mind-controlled by humans who are wired into a trance-like state on the ship.
To regain the trust of the Netiri, the Omaticaya tribe, and their new chief Tsute, Jake mounts, and bonds with Taruk, a giant dragon-like beast related to the little banshee.
By bonding with this fierce beast, whom the Na’vi both revere and fear, Jake proves that he is part of the Na’vi, that he respects their culture, and wants to be among them.
Jake is embraced by Neytiri, his mother Moat, and Tsute, and together they plan to assemble several Na’vi tribesmen to fight against the Rda and oust Pandora.
His human body definitely died. After Jake is permanently transferred to his avatar, Netiri removes Xopak from his human body. A human cannot survive breathing air from the Pandoran environment and will die after 4 minutes of exposure.
As for Jake’s Avatar, it didn’t die, as Avatar’s eyes opened in the last few moments before the film’s credits were revealed, implying that the transfer was a success.

Jake’s incarnation is another surviving member of the Omaticaya clan, which is indifferent to the Na’vi race except for genetic differences between a native Na’vi and a Na’vi incarnation.
It probably doesn’t count that Jake died after the transfer was complete. His human body died when Jake’s consciousness had already left him. If the netiri never removed the exotic,
It could be assumed that even though the human body did not die immediately after the transfer, it would eventually die due to lack of activity. Since Jake will still have his memories and experiences we can also say that he is alive after the transfer.
What to expect from the plot of Avatar Sequel?
The death of planet Earth could become an important story in the upcoming Avatar sequel. Given the species’ unique knack for survival in science fiction, some humans will inevitably evacuate and make their way toward a chartered alien world like Pandora.
The arrival of human refugees on the Na’i Moon will completely change the dynamic between man and the Navi. The first Avatar was widely accused of recycling tired white savior plot tropes, where Earth’s heroes ride to the aid of primitive natives.
But in Avatar 2 to aid human refugees following Earth’s destruction. Selecting Navi would represent the exact opposite. In fact, it may be the influx of humans on Pandora that drives a fresh wedge between the various Navi tribes.
Jake and the Omaticaya clan of Netiri are clearly ready to forgive, forget, and be kind, while the others want to spare the desperate humans after everything that happened the last time they arrived in Earth City.
