Shaman King Season 1 Ending Explained: What happens with the Twins?
Yoh’s crew leaves Tokyo for America in the Season 1 finale – but just before that, they’re attacked by a young warrior named Hao, who possesses the Great Spirit of Fire. It is one of the Five Most Powerful Elements and an Over-Soul, which can only be wielded by legends.
Hao is playful about it, however, beating up Horohoro and making it clear that he is messing with them until he can kill them all in order to become king.

When the team locates a library in America and investigates a strange phenomenon, they discover that “Patch” is a black warrior associated with “Song of Destruction”.
A young Native American girl named Lilirara then finds them and reveals that the Patch tribe is not heroic, but genocidal. They were deadly towards participants such as the Seminoa tribe and sought dominance, a ploy to find new weapons for their warfare throughout the tournament.
Hao appears to be one of these creatures. They see a vision of a man who looks very similar to Silva, a member of the Patch tribe from 500 years ago, who uses the same spirit ally as Hao in the present day and annihilates the Seminoles.
As they move out of sight, they tell Lilirara that the man looked exactly like Hao, and that the man has already been reincarnated. She reveals everything she knows about the Patch tribe.
Before moving on, it’s important to address the events of the first episode. As Keiko Asakura is about to give birth, her parents Yohemi and Kino Asakura learn that some dangerous person is about to be reborn as her child.
However, when he learns that he is having twins, Yohemi hesitates but decides to kill the firstborn. But to her shock, the child is reborn with a spirit ally and thwarts her efforts. This is Hao Asakura. Yes, from Shaman Fight. He was originally an onmyoji from 1,000 years ago.

The twin brother is none other than Yoh Asakura, who is his half. Yoh says that if that Shaman becomes king he will get Yoh back. Yohemi says that Yoh will now have to bear the fate of saving them all.
After Yeoh and his friends leave, Hao appears in front of him and kills him. Yeoh and the others find Lilirara outside the library they visit to find information about the location of the Patch tribe.
They only learn that another tribe, the Seminoa, mentions the word “Patch” in their “Song of Destruction”, which describes Patch as a demon. Lillirara is revealed to be a Seminoa who sent the contestants home.
She claims that the Shaman King Tournament is part of a Great Patch plot and shows them the death of four Seminoan warriors at the hands of Hao Patch 500 years ago. According to Lillirara, the real intention of the patch was to destroy humanity so that only shamans would remain.
