And Nick Offerman reprising their roles from the first film. The sequel also includes new characters voiced by Bobby Cannavale, Pharrell Williams, Halsey, Chelsea Peretti, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre, Adam Buxton, and Bono.
Like the previous film, Sing 2 has songs by several artists, most of which are performed diametrically. The story is set after the events of the previous film, where Buster Moon.

And his group put on a show in Redshore City while working to impress an entertainment mogul and enlist a reclusive rock star for the performance.
Sing 2 Summary!
Not satisfied with dominating the local theater, koala Buster Moon dreams big. When Fox talent scout Suki says her take on Alice in Wonderland is ‘not good enough,
She takes it as a challenge to help her troupe of animal artists become the biggest wolf-owned To stage a show in the entertainment complex. Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale) in Red Shore City, a sort of anthropomorphic-animal cross between Las Vegas and New York).
Neither the story nor the characters are strong enough to make this film a compelling watch. There’s only so much you can do when you’re only going for the cute, and it shows here.
I think the character motivations and actions need to be clarified- why does Sookie go up against Mr. Crystal? What exactly is Porsche’s relationship with her father that makes her so eager to rebel?
Why are people behaving mean and rude in Redshore City? It’s all unclear. It’s what makes the scene where Rosita confronts her fears in order to save a friend for me it’s a classic example of how character psychology can be simplistically shown,
But something that the movie makes most of. refuses to part. Since the story doesn’t make you feel rooted for or root for the characters, there’s no relief or joy when they succeed.
You don’t feel the warmth that comes with an underdog victory. I felt it more when Johnny beat his stubborn and cocky dance teacher when the band triumphantly performed the show at bigger and more popular venues.
With so many characters, Sing 2 doesn’t even lift a finger to go completely out of the box with its narrative and stick to the animated status quo of previous similar genre films, even itself. Sing.

This can be a bit surprising because every action by any of these characters signals another musical number rather than evoking these really interesting humanized animals and their backstories, which eases the suspension of disbelief.
However, the equation between Ash and Calloway is treated with such intimate empathy that you have to wonder why Garth Jennings, who directed, wrote, and voiced the film, didn’t pay equal attention to the rest of the characters.
The film gives each member of the ensemble a plight to overcome, but it does so at its own expense. In less than two hours, the film has a lot of ground to cover, and its entire foundation isn’t strong.
Bono lends his voice to the mysterious and reclusive Clay Calloway, and his story is heartwarming, giving the film a strong emotional center.
The film doesn’t give Clay’s story as much breathing room, as we also get to spend time learning how to dance with Taron Edgerton’s Johnny. The film jumps on its A, B, and C plots so much that it is enough to give you whiplash.
