The Witcher Season 3: everything you should know!
The Witcher is a fantasy drama streaming television series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, based on the book series of the same name by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.
Set on a fictional, medieval-inspired terrain known as “The Continent”, The Witcher explores the legend of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri, who are connected to each other by destiny. It stars Henry Cavill, Freya Allen and Anya Chalotra in the lead roles.

Is The Witcher Season 3 renewed by Netflix?
Yes, Even before the release of the second season of The Witcher Netflix announced ahead of time that the series had been renewed for a third season. Netflix announced at its inaugural TUDUM fan event in September that it had beaten The Witcher Season 3.
When will The Witcher Season 3 Release on Netflix?
For now, TV productions are working almost as fast as they did before the pandemic, so taking into account any potential delays, we’d expect season three to end in late 2022, or maybe even early 2023.
This is certainly subject to change though. The Witcher season two was delayed several times, due to the coronavirus pandemic as well as an on-set injury to Cavill,
And came nearly two years after the first one. Assuming season three begins filming in the new year, we’d expect the show to come out in late 2022 at the earliest.
What to Expect from the Plot of The Witcher Season 3?
Fans of the series will already know that The Witcher is based on the books of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski, and created for Netflix by Lauren Schmidt Heisrich.
Season one followed Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer, and Princess Siri, while Lauren has previously stated that Season 2 will carry even more material from The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny.

And given that there are five books, it’s safe to say that we can expect to see more characters and more stories in the third season. The end of season two is said to pick up some details from the second book,
The Time of Contempt. It then makes sense that the third series would follow the plot of the book, with Siri working to complete her sorceress training and later meeting Geralt.
The Witcher Season 3 Cast Updates!
The exact list of characters to appear in Season 3 depends on the events of Season 2. However, it is likely that Cavill, Alan, and Chalotra will reprise their lead roles with Eamon Farren (Twin Peaks) as Cahir Mawr Dyphrin ap Selach.
Joy Bate as Jaskier, Myanna Buring as Ticia de Vries, Royce Pearson as Istrade, Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla Vigo, Wilson Radjou-Puzalte Dara, Anna Schaefer as Triss Marigold, and Mahesh Jadu as Rogwein’s Vilgfortz.
Season 2 will also introduce new characters, including Nivelin, a cursed man whose image was used to scare children; Nenneke, a priest and mother goddess; and a live-action version of Vesemir, the figure of Geralt’s father and the oldest living witch.
