Has Apple TV+ Renewed Invasion for Season 2?
On December 9, the day before the conclusion of Invasion Season 1, the official Twitter for Apple TV+ released news that Invasion Season 2 was in the works. The announcement came as a surprise, as not only was Season 1 not airing yet, but it also had mixed reviews.
Reviews from both critics and viewers were not overwhelmingly positive, with the show rating 46% based on critic reviews and 44% based on audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes.
When will Invasion Season 2 Released on Apple TV+?
Apple TV+ is cautiously optimistic about the show rather than pessimistic. According to Deadline, Invasion’s second season will premiere on December 8, 2021, indicating that the story will continue indefinitely.
Given that Season 1 was announced in January 2019 and premiered on October 22, 2021, Season 2 of “Invasion” is expected to arrive in the fall of 2023 at the earliest.
What to expect from the Plot of Invasion Season 2?
The Season 1 finale revealed that the invasion was the first step in making Earth habitable for aliens, with the final scene being Mother’s appearance.

Season 2 will mostly continue to show how the human race will deal with the threat as we see that almost all of the main characters are alive. Mitsuki, who is coping with the loss of Hinata, can step in with her ingenuity to help.

The second season is expected to continue its narrative through the different perspectives of characters scattered around the world.
