Raising Dion Season 1 Recap!
I love the series and hope season 2 is here very soon. This season left us with more than a subtle hint as to who would be the bad guy and I think S2 could be even better than the inaugural season.
It is apparently based on a comic book of the same name, but I have yet to investigate further than to see a mention of it in the credits.
Josiah Young is a relative newcomer to acting and it certainly shows in earlier episodes. However, as the season progresses, his skills get stronger, and considering that he’s as lovable as a 7-year-old can be, it’s easy to overlook his weaknesses.
Raising Dion Season 1 Ending Explained: What happens with Dion?
Luckily for Dion, her family and friends rallied around her and formed a quasi-superteam to fight the crooked man. Dion’s classmates Esperanza (Sammy Haney) and Jonathan pitch in,
And even BIONA CEO Susan Wu helps fight the crooked man. He won the battle and the crooked man was destroyed, releasing all the energy he had gained from his driven victims. Among them was Mark, who got a chance to say goodbye to his wife and son.
Thought the crooked man had an end, think again. At the end of Season 1, we caught up with the age of another driven kid, Dion, named Brayden. As seen in the final seconds of Season 1,
The Crooked Man’s storm cloud has hitched a ride on the short telepath—and that means trouble for Dion. That’s when we get the finale’s real gag: Dion’s father Mark reappears and consoles his son and wife. He is not alive again, but he is not dead either.
Pat’s defeat frees all the souls and souls of the super-powered people he has captured, and it gives Mark another chance to embrace his family. Dion vows to find a way to bring him back to life just before Mark’s disappearance.
The last time we see Dion and Nicole, they’re back home, trying to get their lives back to normal. But it is not the end of the season. After Kale cuts in, we open back to the ranch, the home of another super-powered man who was killed by Pat earlier in the season.
All is not well on the farm; The farmer’s wife is murdered and the farmer’s son, Brayden, is kicked out of the house. As he does so, a very familiar storm swirls around and runs into him.
It seems that the telepathic Brayden, a second-generation driven man similar to Dion, has been none other than a crooked man. Through Season 1, the sequence delivers a lot of twists and turns, with lots of laughs and emotional moments.

The final two episodes are nothing compared to the surprising twist when it is revealed that Dion’s godfather, Pat is “The Crooked Man” the mysterious,
And murderous stormtrooper who uses his stormy powers to soak up different Works for people super-powered in their own right to ease their personal pain.
After being hit by unusual, almost ash-like projectiles during an event involving a strange aurora, we see him affected by the same terminal illness that devastated Iceland’s natural world after the event.
After studying Dion’s healing powers, he finally sees a way out of his predicament. His mission turns into getting Dion to heal him, despite the fact that it may result in the boy’s death.
He will eventually get his chances and try to heal himself with Dion’s brilliance until interrupted by Nicole. Dion and his ‘overwhelming staff’, his mother Nicole, along with his best friend Esperanza, school rival Jonathan and BIONA chief Susan,
Defeat Pat by trapping him in his storm type using a whole bunch of science. Pat/Crooked Man vanishes into the sky, is defeated, and largely destroyed. Although dark power – not much, as we will come to see later.
