Upload Season 3: Do we need it?
When Robby is downloaded into a clone body developed on Ingrid’s instructions, season two of Upload ends on a hell of a cliffhanger. In a desperate bid to keep him, and realizing that she cannot continue to live the upload life,
Ingrid pays for Robbie’s body to be regrown in a highly experimental treatment. Its success rate is very low, currently, only a select few pigeons win. With Nora happy, what does Nathan’s possible death mean for her?
Not only was she happy to be with him, but she was also out of her little ‘relationship’ with Lud. Also, with Alisha and Nora separating, what does this mean for Nora’s role in Horizon?
After all, she’s working undercover for Ludds. But with Alisha being promoted, coupled with the fact that she’s not on good terms with Nora, does that mean Nora has a new enemy?

But in just seven episodes, Upload loses its original appeal as a quirky rom-com-meets-murder-mystery. Instead, it becomes an anti-capitalist thriller with the stakes a bit vague.
It still boasts funny moments. Between the afterlife AI babies and the moments that make fun of the artificial luxuries of the wealthy dead, the series welcomes some laughs.
However, it is so wrapped up in the truth behind Nathan’s alleged murder that the comedy takes a backseat to the anti-capitalist moment that dominated the media.
